Meditating monk nature surrounded by history

Jazz is the only real music that is gonna last; all that other bullshit is here today and gone tomorrow.

Jimmy Smith, jazz organist

A quote from Jimmy Smith that I heard from the last track of Drake's album Nothing Was The Same got me thinking about how many unique contexts the idea could fit in.

The full original quote by Jimmy Smith was from his track Jimmy Smith Rap on his album Off The Top:

The sample from the Drake track called Pound Cake/Paris Morton Music 2 alters it a bit to say "Only real music is gonna last; all that other bullshit is here today and gone tomorrow":

Pretty much the same thing, but slightly edited. I think this applies to a variety of subjects, so here are my derived quotes ๐Ÿ•บ๐Ÿพ:

The web is the only real platform that is gonna last; all that other bullshit is here today and gone tomorrow.

Another one:

Raw food is the only real medicine that is gonna last; all that other bullshit is here today and gone tomorrow.

And finally:

Jesus is the only real king that is gonna last; all that other bullshit is here today and gone tomorrow.

I highly recommend listening to both albums, Nothing Was The Same and Off The Top ๐Ÿ”ฅ.
